Private Chef

We are looking for someone who could come and cook some meals for us in August in Sag Harbor. My wife just gave birth to our third child and while I am usually very happy cooking up a storm at home, finding the time to cook (and especially shop) is getting harder and harder. This can range from occasional to more regular. Drop-in meals would also work.

At home, we eat pescatarian (and mostly vegetarian), hyper-seasonally (vegetables mostly from the farmers market; heirloom varietals, no/low spray, organic/practicing organic wherever possible, things picked at peak flavor and freshness), and as local and fresh as possible. During spring, summer, and early fall, I am at Union Square at 8 am, elbowing past the restaurant chefs to buy the best from the very best farms. In other words, in our house, you will not find a spear of asparagus in August; or a tomato mozzarella caprese in February. 

Whoever we hire must work cleanly and efficiently, and take care to be careful with kitchen surfaces. Must also clean up after oneself at the end of the meal prep.

We are also looking to maintain the relationship past the summer, and this can turn into a more permanent opportunity to help us at home in Brooklyn.
