Chef-Share on Martha's Vineyard | July 1st to Labor Day!

New York, NY

This role will be a shared chef position for two families during their stay on Martha's Vineyard in the summertime from the first week of July to Labor Day. The hours will add up to full-time each week and work will be done at their separate houses. The schedule for coordinating and preparing meals will be developed down the line. Ideally, this candidate is someone who lives on Martha's Vineyard, but the families are open to candidates from NYC as well and will provide proper accommodations.

This role requires the ability to drive in order to pick up groceries for meals, but the candidate will not need to provide their own vehicle. The chef must be comfortable around children as they will be around in both households. See the needs of each family below.

Family A:
This family has 2 adults and 4 children. They like to eat all kinds of food and are looking for someone who can cook a little bit of everything like Mexican, Italian, American, etc. One of the children has a peanut allergy and can't consume peanuts and peanut-based products, but it's okay if peanut butter is in the household. Family A will be on the vineyard from about July 1st until Labor Day.

They will require:

  • 4 dinners per week

  • 2-3 lunches per week

Family B:
This family has 2 adults and 3 children. For lunches, they're looking for salads and grilled lunches with some kid-friendly options. Dinner options are a bit more open. Family B will be on the vineyard on varying dates (listed below).

They will require:

  • 1-2 lunches/week

  • 1 dinner/week

Dates required for Family B:
• Week 1: July 5, 6 or 7th
• Week 2: July 11, 12, or 13th
• Week 3: Nothing is needed week of July 16
• Week 4: July 22 or 23
• Week 5: Aug 3, 4, 5
• Week 6: Aug 10, 11, 12, or 13
• Week 7: Aug 16-17

Family B would also like to host a standing Monday or Tuesday lunch at their house for any/all kids to gather after their morning activities. Their nanny and/or housekeeper will be around to help serve if needed.
