We are in search of a talented and experienced Central Kitchen Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate would preferably have a background or experience in central kitchen operations and the development of pre-made dishes, with a strong passion for cooking or tasting Chinese cuisine. As a Central Kitchen Chef, you will be responsible for leading our culinary endeavors, driving innovation in our dish products, and ensuring their successful commercialization. Please note — you must be able to speak Chinese for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Cook American-Chinese cuisine.

  • Conduct culinary research and experimentation to refine and innovate American-Chinese dishes using innovative food concepts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketers, to translate culinary ideas into commercial dishes.

  • Manage the development of multiple dishes simultaneously, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

  • Conduct sensory evaluations, product testing, and analysis to optimize product formulas and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies in the culinary and food domain.

  • Perform market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation.

Requirements:

  • Over 3 years of experience as a Chinese cuisine chef.

  • A strong passion for gourmet food or Chinese cuisine, with a profound understanding of flavours, cooking techniques, and food trends.

  • Capability to develop innovative and commercially viable dish R&D.

  • Familiarity with food regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams.
