Career Services Coordinator

The Isaacs Center is a neighborhood-based multi-service nonprofit focused on Senior Services and Youth Development. As part of the Education & Workforce Department, The Career Services Coordinator will work specifically with the Culinary Arts Advanced Training program participants. The ideal candidate has a background in culinary arts, restaurant BOH or operations, with strong interpersonal skills, cultural competency, and ability to work independently on administrative tasks.

Reporting to the Director of Advance and Earn, the Career Services Coordinator will support all aspects of the Workforce Development Programs under the Advance and Earn program. Responsibilities will include one-on-one meetings with students to determine occupational and career interests, the development and maintenance of partnerships with restaurants who will hire culinary students as interns and permanent employees.


The Isaacs Center has excellent benefits, the previous Career Services Coordinator is staying within the organization in a new role so you will have access to your predecessor during training. This is an ideal job for an experienced chef looking to leave the kitchen but not the industry, who has an interest in mentoring the next generation of chefs and food + beverage professionals. Alternatively, an experienced non-profit worker or educator with a passion for hospitality and food service would be excellent. The ideal candidate is willing to train and learn quickly and has no issue working with young New Yorkers between ages 18-24. Salary: $58,500.00 - $71,946.00
