Sans Bakery is looking for a passionate and energetic production baker to join our team on a full time basis. We are a small batch gluten free bakery that provides delicious all natural baked goods to restaurants, coffee shops and private clients within the NYC area. Our location is at the Falchi building in Long Island City, Queens.
The ideal candidate must take great pride in their work, have the ability to multitask and work well with others. Daily responsibilities include baking, prep, packaging, wholesale order management, bakery organization and general clean up.
At least 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.
Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service -Food Handlers Certificate (or immediate willingness to obtain it)
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some early mornings
Ability to execute recipes consistently
Must be reliable, professional and team oriented.
Organized, good time management skills.
Occasional moderate to heavy lifting (10 - 50lbs) and carrying
Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts diploma is a plus, but not required
COMPENSATION this position is PAID: hourly
